Painting vs Powder Coat Wheels

So I got a set of silver 23" Saleen wheels and want them satin black. I talked to the local powder coat shop and they have to strip the silver paint $35 each and then powder coat $50 each. Would it make more sense and be cheaper to have them painted by a shop or will they chip easily?

being its a part so close to the road and will get dirty and what not, i would definitely get them powder coated...its much stronger and has way better scratch resistance..its worth the extra money.

If money is no option definitely go with powder coating. However, I've had mine painted for over a month now with absolutely no signs of chipping or wearing. I've been rough on them, too!

Thanks for the advice. I don't want to have them re-done after a year so I'll go with powder coat.
