Help!-ABS wire harness Ohm difference
Help!-ABS wire harness Ohm difference
Hey Guys,
I'm trying to narrow down why my wife's abs light (2001 Oldsmobile Aurora) is on and she has no abs brakes now. I hooked my multimeter up to each harness on each tire to check for resistance. 3 of the four read about 54 ohms, but one, the front right, read 128 ohms. Now, this means that there is less resistance (I think?) in this sensor. Does this sound like it could be what's causing it? I checked the fuse and it seemed fine.
Thanks!

I did. No codes on brakes. Some secondary AIR thing which I think is because there's no fuse for the AIR slot. Why would 3 be the same and the 4 one be different unless there was something wrong with it, right?
Make sure you used a code reader that does ABS. Not all of them do. If you have a light you will have a code. If you have a bad sensor it will give you a code.
If the sensor is cheap go for it. They should all be the same. Some are a pain to swap though so that is why I recommended getting the code.
