I have done alot of research on tires before I picked mine and the Hankook didn't get very good overall views (hince the price). I would suggest either the Toyo AT, Nitto Terra, or the like. Gas milaege is not affected by the type of tire as much as the size tire and gear ratio. Remember, if the price is too good to be true then it probably is. Shop around for a better tire and deal but thats just my opinion.

 

Everything is holding up great with my set. I like the way they ride.

 

You can get the Terra Grapplers for basically the same price.

 

where can i get a 33 inch terra grappler for the same price? and terras only get 20k or so. i need more mileage than that.

I don't know where you got that info but Terras get way more than 20K. It is important to rotate your tires and keep them at the correct psi for them to last a long time. The Toyo is one of the better tires on the market. Hankook only rates at about an 8 for the top ten tire manufacturers.

 

ohh it just seems like ive read a lot of reviews on terra's and people seem to not get hardly any mileage out of them, but yeah i will definately rotate them and everything.

 

I just ordered my hankooks monday, my dealer said he should have em friday.
so ill have em on pretty soon here. from what i've heard and read they arent a bad tire. so ill have to see ( there for winter use )

 

just a quik update. the rf10 are in my opinion a good winter tire easily better than the bfg at. they grip good in corners, trac very well and they're predictable
what more could you ask for

and they're better lookin thabn the toyo at's. thats my 2cents

I was looking at these myself in 285/70/17. Discount Tire is $25/tire less on those than the Terra Grapplers. All the reviews I've read on the Hancooks on Discount Tire were good. I've had the Terra Grapplers before on two other vehicles and like them, but got rid of both vehicles before I put substantial milage on them to see how they were wearing. They were good in mud/snow and were quiet too.

 

I have 325/60 R18 Toyo AT's. I got them at cost from a relative who ran a repair shop. (I paid $700 out the door) I have about 16,000 miles on them and am about to have to replace them. He since has closed his shop and went on to other things, so I don't really have any kind of warranty on them. I only rotated them once (about 7,000miles), the next time I started to rotate, the back tires didn't look good enough for me to want to put them on my front wheels, so I left them. I drive on gravel, so I don't expect any tire to hold up 50,000 miles, but I wouldn't buy these again, especially for 200+ per tire. (Ok, maybe if I could get the same deal!) but I plan to get the DynaproATMs for my next set. I like the sizes they offer, the price and the reviews. Plus, the Dynapro is a 10ply vs. the 4 ply nittos and toyos. I think I will go with the 275/70s.

Discount tire gave me $300 back for my Goodyear Wrangler SR/A's with 11,000 miles on them. Total out the door with the warranties, mounting/balancing tax was $564, and I still have a $50 rebate to fill out.
I like the reviews, I've never heard any bad stories, and need a stout, quite, tough 50K mile tire. These should be perfect.

Took a few pictures. The truck is dirty, but I drove over a mountain pass, and was working cattle all weekend. These tires worked great. Snoqualimie pass had a foot of new snow, and compact ice on it when I went over. Lots of people in the ditches, I never had a problem. I drove this into several fields with soft dirt, and mud with no problems. I put 500 miles on the truck this weekend, and the tires where nice a quite. I'm very happy with these so far.
