Anyone with 3:55 gears running....

a 305/70/17? Had one put on for a look see the other day with an 8.5 rim and man it looks good. I'm just concerned over the long haul I'm gonna regret it. If anyone is running this setup, please let me know how the takeoff and topend feels. Does it struggle in and out of OD? I'm thinking I may have to stay with a 295 to be on the safe side. Thanks for everyones input on my previous questions. This site is just great and the people with "know" are very helpful.

I am running a 325/60-18 on my 04 2wd. I have noticed a little loss in power but nothing to complain about. My fuel mileage has dropped about 2mpg. I too have 3.55's in my rearend but my truck still pull's overdrive good and doesn't seem to be struggling to pull the tire's bad at all. Keep in mind though that I have an Edge programmer and dual exhaust with the stock intake.

Yeah I looked at those 325's on a few vehicles and they are just too wide for my likings. If I could tuck those things in about a 1/2 inch they would be perfect. Thank you for the reply.

Yea they are wide not my personal preference of width. I just couldn't pass up the price though. When these tire's wear out I will be buying 305's too.

i'm running 35's with 3.55's and i don't have any problems, it's not much worse than stock, but i also lifted it when the ticker was still at 5000 miles.

I'm running 35's with 3.55 gears and a 5.4 engine. My performance is ok, but nothing to brag about. If I did any towing or hauling, I would have stuck with 33's or regeared with the 35's.
