I just bought an '00 F-150 Lariat 4x4 that came with bent 20" rims. I bought the truck for winter driving and hauling stuff around. Therefore, the 20" rims gotta go.

I bought a set of OEM 16" wheels. They are the '00 5-spoke series that are 16x7.

Tire Rack says the OEM tire size should be 245/75-16 for this wheel. Now I've seen this wheel/tire combo on a 4x4 and they look small.
What tire size do you all recommend? I don't want to lift the truck, trim any rub points, adjust torsion bars, etc, etc.
I just want a tire that fills nicely, looks good on the stock setup, and gets me around.

What do you all recommend the tire size to be? Remember, they are 16x7 wheels...I don't want too much tire buldge.

I'd go with 285/75-16's (33x11.50). I have a couple pics in my gallary of that size BFG on my stock Screw when I first bought it.

 

Wandell...it is the black truck with black wheels I'm to be looking at? If so, are those 16" wheels also 7" wide? I assumed that since the stock 16x7 wheel calls for 245 width that the 285 would be too wide.

Did you have any rubbing issues with the 285-75? Do the tires protrude the fender well?

No, it's a pic of my white Supercrew. The 285/75-16's fit fine on the oem 16x7 wheels and were not even close to rubbing. They are also tucked inside the fenders using the oem wheels.
