Question TPMS question

2007 F150,XL
I bought a set of rims and tires off of a 06 F150 XLT and installed them on my truck.Does anyone know if these rims have TPMS on them? My sensor light has not lit up on my dash yet,so i'm thinking they are there.Here is a pic of the tires and rims;

those are the same wheels that came on my '07 XLT. the TPMS light would flag in a matter of minutes if the 'new' rims didnt have the sensors/transmitters.

Question

I've put about 20 miles on them since having them put on my truck this morning.I know its a federal law now to have them on 07 and newer trucks but was wondering if they were an option in 06,or just installed on the more exspensive F150 rims........

It takes at least 20 miles in a single trip, for the TPMS light to come on. It will come on. The 06 did not have TPMS and even if it did, your vehicle is not set to read the sensors off a different vehicle without programming.

The sensors are in the wheels. Is the valve stem rubber or metal? If metal, they are likely in there.

Ford does not use the valve stem sensors on the 2007 up F150 and the 06 had no TPMS.

what does the valve stem have to do with the tpms sensors? ford uses the band style sensor. yep as soon as you take a 20 minute drive the light will come on. stupidest thing ford ever put on vehicles, blame the retards in american who can't do normal maint. for this high tech pain in the ***

Ford has used valve stem sensors, but not in the F150. They have used them in the Expedition.
