I was asking my dad if i could get rims and tires for christmas. I was thinking some american racing wheels the punisher kind with some mt tires. Today mydad calls me and says the wheels and tires are gonna be about 3000??!. Damn that really pisses you off when you think your truck is gonna look sick as hell then you cant even get the rims. I need a job.

for a decent set of aftermarket alloy wheels, you can bet around 200-300 each (average), and then tires will be about the same each..... its an expensive mod, but is the easiest and fastest way to change the attitude of your ride.

keep an open mind and look used.

if anything, used rims with new tires, maybe used tires with good tread life left.

theres still hope, pal.

I was thinking that you should pay for it yourself.

Those wheels are hideous anyway. You can find a set for $1500 if you look hard enough

agreed x1000

get us a picture of your truck, get some suggestions together from us, then continue your search. you will have a wider range of choices, and then you could look around for better deals.

ill photoshop the wheels on your truck so you can see how they look.

try and get some money together, pay for as much as you can, then as your dad to pay for the rest. rims and tires aren't a necessity, i doubt my parents would even touch the idea of me putting rims on my truck at their expense.

I personally don't see what's "wrong" with the wheel choice

If they are what you want, go for it. Get a job. You've probably heard it here... you gotta pay to play. First is wheels and tires, then it's lift and power adders, etc. Seems too many kids are handed too much nowadays

If you are just wanting some nice wheels and not hung up on a particular wheel, You might keep an eye on craigslist if you have it in your area. I found my favorite wheel with almost new tires for $625. New, they would have been about $2400.

I picked up my 20's and Goodyear rubber for $1300 after they gave me a trade on my factory rims.

I bought mine off ebay... granted, hardly anyone makes my lugnut count, but still

Def. a good idea to look around - especially on the internet now you can order most items from 100s of different places.

American Racing Punishers and Toyo MTs in a 33x12.50 are only $2400 at Discount Tire. They are a very good looking wheel, by the way. Available in black, chrome and black chrome.
