Squeak question

Not sure if it's my brakes but that's my guess...

When I start my truck and shift from drive to reverse to back out it sounds like my back brakes squeak. At least that's where it sounds like it's coming from sitting in the cab. It only does it when shifting from park since the transmission actually engages I guess.

It's odd since I don't hear any squeaking when normally driving and applying the brakes.

Any idea why it does this or is it just a symptom of me needing to change my brakes?

you know my 99 f150 4x4 squeaks when i go in reverse. it gets faster as i go faster. but if i push the clutch in it stops even while rolling. then if i re-engage the clutch it does it more. if i press the brakes while going backwards while the clutch isn't pressed it still squeaks. very odd

its normal to have some noise when you back up at first... the brakes will moan or squeak a bit due to some moisture on the pads from sitting (overnight or for a couple hours)
