Tires & Exhaust?

I just put a glasspack on my v6 and have no piping after it, i want my exhaust to come out infront of the rear wheels maybe with a y pipe after the glasspack, but i heard that by doing that it makes your tires hotter and so they wear out quicker is this true?

No. However, there is a problem. The exhaust gases will tarnish the wheel and you will have to wash and polish it more often. This is why Ford rerouted the F-150's exhaust for 1998.
