Tires too big!

I have a 2004 F-150 with a 6" lift. I just put on 355/65 tires. the inside of the tire on the front is rubbing my spindle. Is there any way i can get it away before my tire blows out? Thanks!

Andy

you need to add what size wheels you have offset and backspacing so we can help.

no one knows how big a 355/65 is unless you give us a wheel size.

for example:

355/65/17= 35.2x14x17

355/65/18= 36.2x14x18

355/65/20= 38.2x14x20

Im opinion all these tires are quiet wide for a 6" lift. But still need all the specs to tell you how to fix it

Right. It sounds like you have too wide of a tire and a wheel with too much backspacing.

If it just barely rubs, a .25 inch spacer sound like your best option. After that, you have to step up to a 1.5 inch spacer.......which, considering how much backspacing you wheels must have.......may not be a bad idea.

yes this is an option but ive seen some bad things with wheel spacers.

wheel bearings will definitely suffer. and possibly more components. but it will be your cheapest bet.

Or just use the tire specs that the lift manufacturer recommends.

On my Fabtech kit, Fabtech says to use a 315/70R17 tire. They made the kit. They know what fits.

Sorry to here about your problem, but this goes to show you really need to do your homework, unless your are independently wealthy and can afford to buy whatever the hell you want. I'd stay away from the wheel spacers, where you at in HoCo andy?
