I need an explination....

Can someone please explain Backspacing and Offset to me. I have an '05 FX4 Stock. Plans to level and run 33'' or 35 on it. I like the factory wheels but have no problem swaping them for aftermarket wheels.

Thanks man. Now that I know that I can pick out a wheel/tire combo for afte the level gets installed.

Just so you know, your OE wheels have a 5.5" backspacing.

Also, the best way to fit 35x12.50's is to use the oem 7.5 inch wide wheels. Even with the oem wheels, a 35x12.50 will rub the control arms slightly at full steering lock. You can also use an 8 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing, but wheel choice is slim at best. If you go with a 33 inch tire you can run almost any wheel width/bs you want. A 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of bs appears to be the most common spec on off road style 6x135mm bolt pattern wheels.
