based on your description it doesn't sound like a brake issue. maybe its the power steering pump?

Hi. I have a 2004 Expedition that has the same whining noise coming from the front drivers side. I have not had a chance to take a look at it but I think it may be a worn bearing. The truck only has 53000 miles on it. I know that this is a F150 forum but it sounds like we are having the same problem. Have you found a solution yet? Please let me know as the noise has been getting louder. Thanks.
