255/75/17 mud terrains

Would these look small on my truck? There's a local deal on these, set of 4 new BFG Mud Terrain 255-75-17. $599. I have the OEM 265-70-17 on my truck now. I don't have a lift, and don't plan on one either. Just wondering. Thanks, Jumpn

They will actually be taller than what you currently have. Just slightly narrower

Looks like, according to tire calculator, would be around 1/2 inch taller. Hmmm, I like the looks of them. Seems to be few complaints of noise per tire rack reviews. May have to go look at'em. Thanks, Jumpn

Ive seen better deals on those tires and size on ebay for much less than that. Id shop around.

I think they will look a little too narrow as well. Have them mounted and see if you like them.

I have the Goodyear Wrangler in 255/75/17. Not too bad. They work for me.

Found same tires on tirerack for $94 a piece. I know the current "look" is for wider tires, but I don't think a little narrower would look too bad. Thanks for the opinions, keep'em coming.

I like the look of a tall skinny mud tire too, but I have a concern. I want to do a Troyer Stage 1 or 2, but I don't want to spend that money on more power just to have it negated by a bigger tire. I am wanting the 255/75/17 bfg mud terrains, which is basically 32 inches tall. How will this tire and the power upgrades work together, will it feel below stock power, bring me back to about stock power, or be better than stock power level. Truck is new body style 04 scab 4x4 with 5.4 and 3.55 gears.

I am getting My BFG MT's 255/75/17 locally this Wednesday for $440 installed. I was hoping to get them this weekend but they didn't come in. I know everybody loves the big fat tires, but I am hoping the slightly taller skinnier mud will give me a little bit of a military look.
