Carquest = Raybestos?????

Started thinking about replacing front pads and rotors on my truck. Has 39,000 miles and doesn’t need breaks yet but I’m tired of the dust. I see a lot of people like the car quest blues. I would like to get a set but the nearest carquest store isn’t so near and you can not order parts online from them. I saw somewhere that the carquest pads are made by Raybestos, which there is an advanced auto parts store around. So my question is does anyone know what if they compounds are identical? I would guess the middle priced Raybestos are equal to the blues. Any help would be appreciated.

I always use the Raybestos Ceramic at work and every one likes them. No noise better stopping and I get them at a decent price. We actually got a new account at Carquest so Ill be trying those soon.

The problem with ceramic pads is that they tend to be harsh on rotors causing warping issues. I'd stay with a semi metallic. I went with carquest blues myself. I love them! 100% better than OEM and hardly any dust compared to stock.

Yes, most Carquest pads are Raybestos made so yes similar pads are available elsewhere. Compare series I guess from the Zone to Carquest. Good OE replacement pads with warranty that are semi-metallic= blues. I'm gonna try the blue ceramic pads for the front next.

Check into Wagner Thermo-quiet pads, Advanced Auto Parts carries them and i believe they have a rebate if you buy before Oct 18.

Mine have always been made in Canada, it does make a difference where it's made.
