Smile Just did my Front Brakes...

I have a 97 F150 XLT 4X4 Supercab. It have 222234KMs on it. I just did the front brakes for the 4th time since owning the truck. The last time it was done was in 2005. What a pain in the *** it was taking the damn rotors off. I ended up taking the truck to my local auto club and cutting them to get them off. It was smooth sailing from there. One of the guys mentioned that part of the reason they were so hard to take off was dealers do not put anticease on the hub. Not part of their procedures. I'm going to start doing 6 month maintenance on the front breaks so this doesn't happen again. I figure that 2 hours every 6 months is worth the time spent taking these things off.

I use WD40 and a air hammer between the studs. It takes them off, depending how much mudding and rust you have behind them. most of the time after soaking them alittle while the air hammer does the trick.
