Tire Pressure sensors?

I should have my new wheels come in next week but from what I hear there is a tire pressure sensor in my factory wheels that cannot be placed in the after market wheel. I guess the sensor can be removed but the band that holds it cannot. If anyone had this issue please let me know what I need to get or any other information. Mahalo.

You have two choices. You can leave the sensors on the factory wheels and live with the warning light on your dash or you can have them installed in your new wheels. All you have to do is buy new bands for your new wheels as the old bands cannot be removed. Tire Rack sells replacement mounting bands.

they're federally mandated now, can't pass an inspection here without them, if you get aftermarket wheels, you have to buy the TPMS sensors.
