Hey guys, this is my 2006 F150. As you can see my tires are crap so i need to get some new ones lol. I'm thinking about going with the newer BFG AT's, my tire size now is 255/70/17. I thought i have made up my mind on the 285/70/17's, but i'm still unsure what i am gonna do (get those or go bigger). I'd love to put a suspension lift on but to he honest i cannot afford to do that. So i'm thinking of just leaving it at stock height or maybe just getting a leveling kit. I'm still a new to all this so i have lots of reading to do. Anyways, this website is great and i love looking at all your trucks, they look awesome.

Ok well i at least figured out how to post the pics, so here they are. I'm sure the truck will look so much better once i figure out what tires i want to get.

At a minimum, I'd go with 285/70-17. If you want a suspension lift, odds are you are gonna lift the truck eventially. Just look at the big picture and spend your money wisely. For instance, you could install a leveling kit now with some 315/70-17's (35x12.50) using your oem wheels. Then you could save up for a suspension lift and aftermarket wheels.

i agree. just build it up as you can, that way you can still use the same stuff you bought before when you get your susp. lift and rims

If i start with the 35" tires and a leveling kit, could that create any problems considering i'd be driving around like that for some time?
Also i have 3.55 gears, and i'm sure getting the truck regeared is pretty expensive too. I'm in a position to be able to get the tires and leveling kit, everything else as in the suspension lift and the rims would be quite far down the road for me. And if i have to regear as well then that would make it even longer until i could do it all. So whatever i do now, i want to be able to use for quite a while without any issues.

Thanks guys.

I've been reading that 35's with a leveling kit would rub, and that i'd need to regear. I'm just trying to figure this all out so i spend my money wisely.
