How BIG!

ive got 36x12.5 on my stock wheels... Id recomend not going any bigger than 12.5" wide one the stock wheels.
wheel spacers are not very fond of here! I dont trust them. And they will caue premature suspension failure and wheel bearing failure.
The biggest tire you can fit on a stock 97-03 4x4 would be 35's, but you would have to crank the torsion bars all the way up and put an AAL in the back!
let me know if you need any info

all i can say is stay away from wheel spacers and torsion keys. short of cranking the torsion bars fully, you will need either a body lift or a suspension lift. installation of either of these is not cheap either. all you need is the ability to turn a wrench, and some persistence. on a 97-03 you can safely fit a 305-70-17 w/o any rubbing. 35's will rub, i highly recommend lifting the truck for a 35x12.50, (315-70-17 or 315-75-16)
