Good cheaper tire?

On a limited budget you could say. What is a decent tire that runs at a decent price? Hoping to get a 3'' body lift and tires soon I hope.. by winter for sure. I am just sizing up prices so I can start saving now.

Down the road, I will eventually get a suspension lift, but this will be good enough for now

Not sure on what size I want to run. I just want some bigger tires for offroading. for now, just going to use the stock rims, which are 15's

The size and brand you want will decide the price you pay for tires. A 33" tire would work. Do you want MT's, AT's?

Well brands don't matter to me all too much I guess. As long as its a reliable tire, and it performs well, it's good enough for me. If it looked mean that would be a bonus

It will be driven daily, so probably at's? Although I know people that run MT's and drive daily, so whichever I guess

Maxxis makes a very good tire for the money. The Buckshots are the most popular MT here. A set of 33's for 16" wheels will run right at $500 around here.

I agree. Also, the Nitto Terra Grapplers are an excellent tire at a great price.

What size rim are u planing on putting them on. I have 17s on my 2001 and I just put a new set of Dakota Deffinites on about 3 months ago. They look very similar to BFGs but dont have the high price tag. I paid 125 a tire at pep boys. I have used them on all my 4x4s I have owned over the years and never once had a probelm. They have good traction off road and winter driving and are not loud when driving on road. If you are lookin to save some $ and not loose the performance of a good all terrain tire than you should look into them.

X2 on the Maxxis Buckshots, if you're looking for a MT. I have a setof 315/75/16s on my 03 4x4 and love 'em. They are wearing really really good also, as long as you keep them rotated.

Also, if you're looking for a good AT, check out the Maxxis Bighorns. I'll probably pick up a set soon and run them on my OEM 17's in the winter. My uncle owns a tire shop and they came highly recommended.

I'd go with the Maxxis Buckshots, also. Great price, quiet tire, AWESOME in mud!

If you want a good mud tire that will last you a long time plus probably can handle any type of terrain even machine gun shrapnel.

Check out a set of these goodyear hummer 36/12.50/16.50 tires

They are REAL cheap and will last you forever!!

You will have to get a bigger rim but I bet you can find some cheap steal rims for around $500
