2.5" Leveling Kit Max Tire Size

I've jumped around on what I'm gonna do with my new 2005 FX4 and what I would really like to do it get 35" Mickey Thompson ATZ's or MTZ's which are 35X12.50 R20. The wheels I wanna get are 20X9 KMC XD Spy with 4.5" backspacing. Is there any possible way that those would fit with just a leveling kit and not cause any major problems?

I would recommend the Mickey Thompson MTZ's to anyone. They are a great tire with great looks and road manners. They can really tear up a field too

I have just a 2.5" autospring with my 35" MTZ's. I also have the classic lock 2's which i believe are a 9" rim with 4.5" backspacing in a 17. There is very little rubbing, mostly just at full lock in reverse.

The only problem with these tires can be solved with a simple modification, mud flaps. These tires will throw mud and rocks like crazy.
you can see my truck here, sorry but i can't post pics:

General rule of thumb is, with a leveling kit you can go 35's on OEM wheels. If you go aftermarket wheels, then you can do 33's with a 4.5" backspace.

If you want 35's with aftermarket wheels (especially with a 4.5 backspace) go with a suspension lift.

I really don't have the money to do the lift right now but I may get one down the road. The only reason I'm in a rush to get my tires is because the ones I have right now REALLY need to be replaced because there is hardly any tread left. So do you think it would be ok to run that setup with just a leveling kit for a while and then get a lift in a couple months?

I would get the cheapest set of stock size tires you can right now, and then wait to do the lift and wheels and tires all at once down the road.

If you get 35" tires you can always put them on some other rims down the road.

I know the price is gonna vary based on where I get it done but what is an average price to get a body lift installed? I know a lot you guys on here do it yourself but I deffinitely can't.

They are supposedly a pain to install. It will probably cost around $1000 to install one.

$1000 and the cost of the body lift itself? Or is it $1000 for both the labor and the part.

$1000 for labor and another $200 to $300 for the PA body lift.
