04 Screw Tire Change
04 Screw Tire Change
Just found a set of Weld 17x10" chrome rims for cheap, and want to put them on my stock 04 screw. Stock size is 265/60/18. Seems like 265/65/17 basically gets me more or less the exact same overall diameter that I have now, but I was thinking of going a little larger with 265/70/17, but I wanted to check with the experts first to see if there is anything I should know beforehand.
Will the 265/70/17's rub at all?
Better or worse gas mileage?
Anything else I should consider

A 265mm wide tire is too narrow for a 10 inch wide wheel. At a very minimum you will want at least a 285mm wide tire. Also, if the backspacing is not right on those 17x10's you are gonna have fitment issures. Do you have a 4x4?
Great advice. I will try that before I do anything.
I need to check the backspacing. I will install the wheels on the truck to see if they will fit properly.
I have the 2WD.
