Need Sizing Info...

I have an '04 SuperCrew 4x4 with 2 1/2" AS kit. I want to go with some Moto Metal 951's in 20x9. Question is which offset and backspace do I need.

Options are:
Offset: +18 Backspacing: 5.71
Offset: +30 Backspacing: 6.18

I understand this has been beat to death but I have no clue. From the reading I have done, I'm guessing I need the Offset: +18, Backspacing: 5.71, but am wondering the the difference is.

Also would like advise or suggestions as to what options I have for tires.

Thanks in advance, Jeff

I'd go with the model with 5.7 inches of bs and a set of 305/55-20 (33x12.50) tires. This wheel will stick out about 1.5 inches farther than your oem wheels. The model with 6.1 inches of bs will only stick out about an inch farther than your oem wheels. Both models will work, it just depends on the stance you want.
As for tires, I'd recommend the BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Toyo AT, Pro Comp Xtreme AT, **** Cepek Radial FC II or Mickey Thompson ATZ.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm going to go with the Offset: +18, Backspacing: 5.71 and some Cooper Zeon LTZ, 305/55/20. I'm getting a lot of conflicting stories on what tire will fit and what won't. We'll see.

If you stick with more backspacing, (closer to stock, under truck) you can fit larger tires. I have 20x8.5 wheels and 6"bs +30 offset, I fit 35x12.50 under there with no rubbing with only a 2" level kit. I personally like to keep them under the truck, but, like wandell sad, it is up to you with what look you are going for.

Well I changed my mine and ordered some Toyo M/T's instead of the Coopers. $289 per tire for 33/12.50/20's and got the 20x9 Moto Metals for $238 plus tax. I think I did pretty well. Will post pics tommorrow if everything shows up.
