Leveling Kit / MPG / Tire Size

Just purchased a 2006 F150 Extended Cab with Chrome Package. I am thinking about putting a levelin kit on soon. Just wondering will it stiffin the ride? I had a 05 z71 and it rode like S*** Will the Ford ride the same? (Being its springs and not torson adjustment) Just wondering what tire size I can put on my truck and what MPG I will get. Thanks for all help

The ride won't change from the LK. The ride will change when you bigger tires on.

With the LK you can run 35's on factory wheels, and 33's on aftermarket wheels.

You can run any size tire you want up to 35" on factory wheels.

You can run any size tire you want up to 33" on aftermarket wheels.

why is that? the aftermarket rim is the same diameter, is it because of the width?

I have 35x12.50x20 with a 2" level kit and aftermarket wheels. You just have to be very careful with the backspacing. My wheels are 20x8.5 with 6" b.s. and +30 offset. The shop where I got them put on didnt think that it would work, but I had them put them on and check clearance. They do not rub.

i have a 04 f150 supercab 2wd i put a 2.5" leveling kit and the ride did not change at all. then i put 285/70r17 bfg mt on factory wheels and the ride stiffened up a bit and can feel every damn pot hole because of the tires im kind of gettign sick of it but love the look im waiting to upgrade my wheel and tires once these wear out.
