Is there a way to disable the TPMS on an 08 F150 XLT ? Ford says "no but we can install new sensors and bands on your tires for $500. Is that BS or has someone figured it out yet ? I have the warning light on the dash, which doesnt bother me to much ( certainly not for 500 ) but would be nice if it would go out

 

No way to do it at this point. Live with the light. That is what I am doing.

 

I now this is a Mustang parts place, but I don't see why it wouldn't work for the trucks too. Just put the OE sensor on with these at the tire shop.

I know nothing about inspections, never have had to do one. I take it you don't have the sensors anymore?

 

well a friend has my old stocks so in a sense I have access to the sensors. I would just have to take them off of his truck unmount the tire mount them on mine put 8 rubbers back on and bolt em up, just a pain in the @$$ to put a little light out.

You have to check the box show signature on the reply page. It has to be done every time.
