Squeeky Front Brake

Any ideas for this one? So my front right brake squeeks under light pedal and sometime squeeks while driving. Obviously soemthing is draging but I'm not sure what. I put new brakes on a 4 months ago and it started a few months ago. Last weekend I took the caliper and pads off and added break grease to the metal retainers where the pads contact and to the spot where the caliper pisons sit on the pad. All this to no avail. I am thinking of getting new stainless steal clips that retain the pads, but I don't think this is the issue either. So Any ideas

When you took the pads off did you notice if the pad sits loose or tight in the calipier bracket? If loose you need new hardware because as your wheel is turning the brake pad is moving slightly causing the squeek. You also might want to see if your backing plate is bent and hitting the rotor.

They were a little loose in the caliper hardware. I was thinking of getting some of the high temp silcone for brakes and putting it between the pads and caliper pistions, but the assembly of the parts may limit the effectiveness. The backing plate is good, so it's just one of those things. Arrrrggggg.
