Im in the process of getting a 6in BDS lift for my 2005 F-150 supercrew 4x4 and im about to head off to college and want to no between the Nitto Terra Grappler and the Bf Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO both in size 325 50 22 which will last longer? How many miles to expect from either?

 

Both are great tires and will last a long time and with that being said I'd go with the BFG's

 

You can easily get 60,000 miles out of the BFG AT KO's.

BFG TA KO's hands down... tried and true! Ive never heard a bad review on them!

Nittos are a good tire dont get me wrong but they dont have the history as BFG.

 

This is just my own opinion based on what I have read. I don't own either tire, yet, I'm still waiting for my OEM General Ameri-craps to wear out before I take the plunge.

If you do a lot of off roading, towing, or have a heavier truck, it seems that most people prefer the BFG's. They have a more stiffer side wall and a harder compound therefore last quite a long time and are very durable. Some people will say that they are little loud on the highway as a result.


If you do more "normal" driving, (i.e. highways and paved roads) but occasionally hit the dirt roads still then you would probably prefer the Nitto's. They tend to have softer ride but are equally effective in snow, sand, rain, and bad weather as the BFG's, however, they tend to wear out a little faster than the BFG's because of the softer compound.

Again, this is not fact, just after reading lots of peoples posts and tire reviews that is what I have come up with. I personally am probably leaning towards the Nitto's mostly because of the type of driving I do. Thats not to take away anything from the BFG's, just my personal preference.

BFG! they have had basiclly the same tire for over 20 years w/ techinal improvements thats what i'll be running when my cooper st's wear out!

 

Two winner's, Nitto's may be a little less expensive but the BFG's may wear a little longer.

 

BFG by far will last longer.

 

My family has ran BFG and everything we own and will contiune to do say wether it is the tow rig, race car, or trailer we got them on everything

bfg is the popular choice here obviously however i have had 3 sets and each set had to be trued since they were all out of round. truing the tires will also increase the life of them btw.

 

How do you "true" tires?

 

im not sure the process but its just making the tires "MORE ROUND" its a good process but ive never had to do it to a set of BFG TA KO's and ive had multiple sets!
