bolt pattern

i have an 02 f150. in the market for some new wheels.

the true bolt pattern is 5 x 135mm correct? will 5 x 5.5" rims work? i know the most common used term for this bolt pattern is 5 on 5.5 but i just want to make sure.

No, you have to have a 5x135mm bolt pattern. It is different than 5x5 inch and 5x5.5 inch patterns and will not interchange.
