BFG A/T or **** Cepek A/T
BFG A/T or **** Cepek A/T
My current tires are kinda low on tread, so time for new ones.
I've narrowed it down to 2 different tires. Liked these the best b/c tread design. Mostly for street driving, but occ. offroad getting to fishing holes and 4x4.
1)BFG A/T 285/75
2)DC A/T 285/75
I can get a set of 4 for both at around $850. SO my question is which tire would last longer. I know the BFGs last forever, but haven't heard about the **** cepeks.

50-60? I've know people that have 70+ on theirs. Also, are the DCs loud? I know I'll have some noise. But like with my Bridgestone A/Ts, they are their loudest at 35mph, then die out to barely noticable.
Don't like the tread on the nittos or the toyos.

I saw some Bridgestone factory tires on the rear of a 2007 GMC 2500 ex cab work truck that were finally replaced with 103,000 miles on them. They were never rotated and this truck carried some heavy loads once and awhile on them. Company vehicle that run's almost 2k miles a week. Wow!
Well.....
I don't know ****, but I hear BFG AT's are great tires :-) LOL
Seriously though, I'm going with Nitto's this time, but depending on how that works out, I might get BFG's the next time around.

I have a set of bfg's and they are great. For a tire to have such an aggressive tread and to handle so well and be so quiet is amazing. They have excellent tread life and are okay in off road situations as long as you don't try and take them through something that you think you can't make. I have yet to be stuck (knock on wood) with these tires on my truck and I have driven through some stuff that lifted z's get stuck in in and that is really good since I have no lift at all.
Hey FoMo....
Not to put you on the spot, but just out of curiosity, you said > BFG 4 Life
But your avatar shows > ProComp - 37" KM2 ???
Bad *** tires BTW ! Your killing me over here with those 37"s !

PS, BTW, just for kicks, I went to check out the DC's, but couldn't find any (at the couple places I checked) that were close to 295/70-17"s ? Guess I could have checked out the actual DC website.... but late for work as it is. Sorry to use such foul language (the "W" word) on a public forum ;-)

Correct.
My first three sets of truck tires were BFG A/T. I strayed from BFG on 2 sets of tires (M/T Baja Claw and Cooper STT). Nerver again.
From now on, it's "BFG 4 Life".

I have posted about this on the site before, I've gotten 140,000 miles out of a set BFG A/Ts on my 1990 f150 with regular tire rotation, granted there was hardly any tread left on them. I have a set on my '05 now where two of them have 90,000 miles on them and the other two have around 40,000 miles on them. Had to replace those for two seperate incidents. Don't know about the DCs since I have no experience with those and probably never will as I am completely sold on the BFG's!
Okay FoMo.....
I got it now.
Geeez, I sure thought I had made my mind up for the Nitto's, but with the way you guys talk about those BFG's, you make it hard not to go with them instead ! Sounds like some incredible mileage your getting out of those things !
I hear a lot of good things about the Nitto TG's, but how do they compare to BFG's from strictly a mileage standpoint ???
