Tire/Wheel Question

Ok I have a 2.5" Leveling Kit for my 2004 NBS F150 2WD.

I want to get the Mamba M1 wheels in 17x8. (info on these can be found at tirerack dot com)

It says the offset is +25mm.....What does this mean? How far will the wheels stick out from where the stock wheels are?

I want to put the biggest tires I can as well so what is the best size to go with?

Thanks

Rone

simple 17x8 wheel ,center of wheel is 4in plus 25mm means the back hub of the wheel is 25mm forward or basically 1 inch so the backspace of wheel is now 5 inches instead of 4. that leaves 3 inches from the front of wheel where the lugs go to the lip of the wheel.. so measure from the face of your hub on the rotor out 3 inches and that will tell u how far out the wheel goes[IMG][/IMG]

Is 3 inches a lot or is that normal? I don't want that goofy look that I see on a lot of F150s.

You may be able to fit a 285/70-17 with those wheels. You should have no problems with a 265/70-17.
