Pulsing brake pad
Pulsing brake pad
Here is the scenario. I replaced front and rear brakes due to the front ones were worn, back shoes never replaced. Had both rotors and drums turned. installed everything and noticed a "pulse" in the brake pad. No shimmy or steering wheel shake, just a slight pulse in the brake pad. Replaced both rotors and drums. No help. Replaced front wheel bearings and seals. No help. Rotated front tires to the back. No help. Bled brakes, no help. The only thing that I have noticed is the drivers side brake caliper is tighter on the rotor than the passenger side, like it does not release all the way. You can still spin the rotor but it does drag a bit. Looking for other ideas. The truck stops fine with no pulling. 97 F150, 5.4. No problems before the brake job, just worn pads.

I would thoroughly clean the caliper and the surfaces on the mounting. I clean it will a wire brush and sand paper. I would also check the bolts to be sure they are greased and move easily.
