Will 35x12.50/18 fit on stock 04 FX4 wheels

The guy at the 4 wheel parts store said they would but i called 2 other tire places and the said it wouldnt fit on the wheel. I also was told that a 35 inch tire wouldnt fit with a 3 inch body lift by the guy at the 4 wheel parts store but everywhere on here i have looked said it will. Can anyone help me with this?

Most tire manufacturers recommend and 8 to 10 inch wide wheel for a 12.50 inch wide tire, but several members have used the oem 7.5 inch wide wheels with no problems. Also, several members have fit 35x12.50's on 4x4's by using the oem wheels and 2 and 2.5 inch leveling kits, so they will fit with a 3 inch body lift on a 4x4. You will have some minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock.

Yup, they'll fit and they look great! Check my gallery.

I have a 2005 XLT with a 2.5 inch lift and 18 in FX 4 wheels will the 35 12.50 fit on my truck as well. Called 2 times at 4 wheel parts ine guy said yes one said no that there is a difference between the XLT and the FX 4.

No, there is no difference.

Yes they will fit. I just had a 2.5" leveling kit installed and put 35x12.5x18 Toyo Mt's on my 2004 FX4. A little rubbing at full lock.... but no other problems.

I have 35x12.5 on stock 18FX4 rims and they look nice and work GREAT. They do rub at full wheel lock, but nothing that I didn't get over the first week. THey are heavy and dropped my gas milage significantly! But I go out and play in the mud too often for me not to get the muds.

I know for a fact that they fit even without a leveling kit. When I bought my truck used from the dealer is came with the 35x12.5x18 on stock wheels with no leveling kit. I put one on right after though, cause it looks soooo much better.

They guys at 4wheelparts are just being cautious. THey are telling you they won't fit without rubbing. Even though it is minor rubbing if anything. They just can't tell people they'll fit, or you would have jackazzes coming back and complaining they rub. Like everyone else said, they should fit with minor rubing.

One helpful hint is look at the specs of the tires you will be buying. Some are wider than the 12.5" they say they are. The toyo mt is a great example. The specs on their site place them closer to a 13.5" wide tire than a 12.5"
