Question 315's on 2003?

Let me start off by saying what a great site you all have here.

My question is will 315's fit on a 2003 FX4 with an 2" AS kit (front and rear- still has the oem 17's on it also)? I also have a 3" body lift but it's not installed yet, will I need to install it first?

I have done some searching but all I come up with is threads regarding the newer body styles.

You dont want to do the leveling kit on a '03. Just crank the torsion bars to level it out, if you do a leveling kit, aka aftermarket torsion keys it will put to much stress on your cv's. Just crank the torsion bars to level then you can put on the body lift and you will have no issues. You can fit 315's with a 3'' body lift with 10'' wide rims, easily with stock rims....

I agree. You can fit 315/75-16's or 315/70-17's at stock height using the oem wheels. However they will rub the frame sightly at full steering lock. The only way to cure this is to use a wider aftermarket wheel, which will require at least a body lift.

thanks Hawg man and Wandell.

Wandell, so your saying I can remove the aftermarket key's on the front and blocks off the rear and still get by with the 315/70/17's on my stock rim untill I get to put my body lift on? I really don't wont to jepordize wearing out the front end .

Also, I'm not sure if you are planning on doing the BL install yourself, but if so, I have pics with captions and descriptions of the install process in my gallery.
