my brother needs help

my brother bought an 06 f150 today...its a 2wd and he wants to put 22's on it...will a 22x9.5 fit and what would a good size tire be...thanks for any info...he said he wants to keep it at stock height or possibly lower the back....thanks for the help

I'd suggest a 305/40-22 tire. As for wheels, I'd suggest a 9.5 inch wide wheel with 6.7 inches of backspacing. That is what my Expy wheels have and I think the stance is perfect. The edge of my wheel/tire is just about even with my fender flares up front.

305/40-22 will be pretty close to the stock wheel diameter. He won't have to adjust his speedometer at all, it'll be off by like a 1 mph a the most. I went with the 305/45-22 on mine, I wanted a little more beef. I also have a 4X4 so i have a little more room to play with. But I removed the rear blocks to level it out a little, I didn't want to go with a leveling kit to the front end because with my luck I knew i would have issues with it. The rear was just easier and a lot cheaper! Post some pics when you get them!
