backspacing/offset

im looking at a set of procomp rims with 4.5" backspacing and a -25mm offset. does that mean that the backspacing is still 4.5" or what? i guess i don't really understand the difference.

Yes, if it says 4.5" backspace, the offset does not change the backspacing if it is specified as 4.5"

Let me know when you're ready to get rims and I can help you out.

Backspacing is backspacing. Offset has a lot to do with a combination of BS and width.

It's just two different ways of measuring the same thing.
