$3k does seem a little high. Wheels and tires are roughly $2000, so that leaves another grand for a set of shocks and some nitrogen. does it need an alignment?

I'd get another estimate to see if they're on par with someone else.

have you got a break down on what they're charging you for parts?

Nitrogen is horsesh*t IMO. The air we breath is made of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen. And tire shops expect you to pay extra for nitrogen. I never understood that.

Besides, my uncle owns a tire shop and says it isn't that much of a difference. He doesn't carry nitrogen for that reason.

You can find everything cheaper online. Then I'd call a different tire shop and ask them how much to mount, balance and install them.

3k does seem a little too exorbitant. Wheels and Tires are between 1900 and 2200 online and without the nitrogen, all you are looking at is the price for labor and balancing. Im with jk on this one, call and get quotes for labor and save yourself some ends by buying online.
