Caliper Problems

I posted about this a few weeks back and was told by other that the chattering sound im hearing from the calipers was because my anti rattle clips were broken/missing. So i order some new ones from ford and they sent the wrong ones, but after i pulled off the front tires they were both there on each side, so i pulled the calipers off and noticed the pad on each side were moving up and down inside the clips. It seems like the clips are worn out? Then after i removed the calipers, (where the bolts hold it on) there was looseness in the slide bolt. What im wondering is why the caliper is still moving all around with the rattle clips still in? Does this sound like the clips might be worn out or could it be something else? I checked everything out and dont understand what hold the pads in.....there wasnt anything holding them to the caliper...Thanks

Might try new caliber pin kit [caliber bolts with the insert sleeves]. You can get them at the parts store.
