Another tire fitment question

I have a 03 fx4 supercrew and looking to fitting a bigger tire on my stock 17s

can i go any bigger than a 285 with levelling it out by turning my torsion bars?

You can fit a 315/70-17 (35x12.50) by using your oem torsion bars. However, this is an extremely tight fit and the tires will rub the frame slightly at full steering lock. I'd suggest sticking with a 285/70-17( 33x11.50) or a 305/65-17(33x12.50) unless you plan on a lift in the near future.

on my 03 fx4 screw i had 315 70 17 bfgs, was really tight and had to trim the lower valance a bit, then i switched to 305 70 17 maxxis mudders, not a big fan of that tire but they fit pretty well anything in the 285 to 295 range will be nice and comfy
