17s with big tires or 20s/22s?
i like the whole lifted truck scene and i want to get either 285/70R17 or 305/70R17 with the 2.5 leveling lift kit that i already have without worrying about rubbing or making any adjustments to my suspension. OR should i go about getting 275/55R20 or 275/55R22 to bolt on? i cant make the decision here. if i get 20s or 22s then im gonna want to possibly lower the truck or something. i dont know!! somebody help me!! or maybe ill just keep it the way it is with the 265/70R17. what do u guys think?
I love lifted and lowered trucks. Stock sux! Just take your time and decide on the look you want and go for it. Just don't try to combine the offroad look and the street truck look by bolting on some 22's and a brushguard and nerf bars.
I only like lowered trucks that are done in a very clean manner, nothing too extreme. Otherwise I'm a lifted truck guy. Besides, I get far more use out of my lifted truck than I would a lowered truck.
By the way, if it means anything the tires on the truck in my sig are 285/70R17 BFG A/Ts with a Fabtech 6" lift.

My truck is lowered 2" in the rear. I had 265/70/17 Michelins on it for about 36,000 miles. I liked the look and it handled and rode very well. I got a good buy on the Roush 20" with 305/50/20s on them. I love the look, it corners a little better but defitintely rides rougher. They are also heavier and have more drag, so probably use more gas. You just have to decide what you like better. There are pics in my gallery of the truck with the larger 17s.
