Call out to other 2007 owners.

In the promotional video for the 2007+ f150, they boast the f150 has bigger brakes then the competition..

I'm wondering if anyone else knotices the brakes in these trucks just suck? Or is it just me? I had got fustrated to the point of bringing it in for warranty work, and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with the system -- Although saying they did say after a test drive "We see where you're coming from."

I have driven all sorts of vehicles and this is byfar the poorest braking. I'd like to use the 2007 ranger as an example, barely tap the brakes and it skids to a stop. Albiet a smaller, lighter truck, my F150 should have larger brakes and pads, providing equal ratio of stoping power.

Any comments, suggestions?

Where do I go from here? I'm hauling a trailor around for summer camping trios, good brakes are a must.

Truck is 5 months old, 12,000kms.

I've only got 4500 miles on my 07 but I haven't had any complaints on the brakes. I haven't used it for towing yet so not sure how that'll be. I will say after putting bigger rims/tires on it I think a brake upgrade may not be a bad idea.

Yes well my truck is bone stock, and has the 245's all seasons, for tires.

I don't know exactly what would be the problem but my dad has had 2 07's, an 06 and my brother has 2 08's and every one seems fine as far as braking goes. They are trucks so it is to be expected I guess. Test drive against another F-150 to see if there's a difference. When it comes due for brakes I would suggest not going with Ford ones and get new rotors too.

So far, the car has stopped every time I applied the brakes. So they work!

Mine's master cylinder lost compression and was deemed "non reoccuring..." Therefore, the accident that occurred due to was "MY FAULT"

P.S. THE BRAKES ARENT WORTH A CHIT

weird...my stock brakes are VERY good. except for the dust of course. even with my 20s and 33'' rubber it will stop on a dime.

Yes, I got in to an accident aswell. Which was one reason I wanted people's opinions on this.

I've done a fair amount of towing, & I actually am impressed with the smoothness & stopping power of the Brakes for such a heavy vehicle, I am not however impressed with the rims being covered in Brake dust every week I wash however!..............

Got 7500K on the clock, and in a few hairy situations where the brakes were needed badly or else my truck would be totalled. Needless to say mine work perfectly fine.

I rarely use my brakes. But I can tell when I do use them, the brake fade is severe.

I don't have too much of a trouble with brake dust... but when I do towing or hauling of heavy stuff, it blackens my rims.
