Hey all....
looking at Nitto Mud Grappler tires. Anyone familiar with these. Looking for a good mud tread but something that will be decent on the highway as well. Can anybody help me? Thanks

my friend had some on his dodge 1500. they were good for offroading obviously but he hardly got 10,000 miles out of them. also it sounds like an airplane when you are on the highway... it drove me nuts.
i would look into the toyo mt's. i hear nothing but good things about them... ill deffinetly be running them on my SD.

well since I have them on my truck presently, I can comment. Ive had them for about 7k, they are loud, but just turn up the stereo. They perform great, both on and off road, and look great. Im going to be able to get about 25k out of them. rotate them every 5k and you will be fine.
fx4 for life...I see on your pic that you have a 2.5" level kit. I am about to level mine as well. does the 2.5 make it even up? I dont want the front higher than the back. I want it good and level. thanks

A 2.5 AS should sit you level. Getting the mud grapplers to fit is the problem. It all depends on your rim choice. Backspacing and size all come into play. THoughts on rims?

man, I know they aren't a big name and they aren't real popular but I have the Hankook RT03 MT's and they are a great tire! I have 45k miles on them and about 7-8/32nds tread left. They are quiet for an MT and I drive 50 miles roundtrip on the highway every day. just an idea for you.
Currently i have the a set of mud grapplers on my truck and i love them to death. Yeah they whine a lot but i really love the sound of them and i plan on getting another set of these for my next set. Also as long as you rotate the tires properly ive heard of people getting 50k plus on these tires. Also i had a set of xterrains on my truck before this and i must say that they suck offroad. The mud grapplers are a LOT better off the pavement so i guess it really depends what u want to do with your truck.
