Tires On a Budget

Ok I just can't bring myself to pay $812 for a set of 285/70/17 BF Goodrich AT/KO's .....

My budget is $600, am I kidding myself that I should be able to get decent tires for this price?

You get what you pay for!!!!! Justify paying for a tire what it is going to be used for (just my opinion) That's a pretty decent price for those BFG's, maybe look into some Cooper's. Justi

check out the local dealers and see if anyone has discontinued/clearanced out tires. BFGs aren't cheap I doubt you'll find them for 150 each unless you're looking for used ones

On a 30 to 40k truck, why skimp on tires? My 315's ran about a grand over 2 yrs. ago and are only about 1/3 worn at the most. Just my 2 cent's and I know money is tight but those tires are worth it.

You'll more than likely get 60k miles out of them...Thats a pretty good pay off if you ask me.

My 285/75/16 BFG TA KO's where right under a grand with the warranty. A great tire, if you have a $600 wait till you get the money and gey the BFG's.

OK I'm riding 'skins' till I get the check!

Thanks for all the advice. As I was reading the replies, it occurred to me that soon I will be receiving a check from Uncle George....I went to the IRS web site and figured I'll be getting 'bout $1200!!!

I'm seeing the TA/KO's at the end of the tunnel!

I just pick up a set of nittos 295/70/17 Terra Grapplers from discount tire for $685. My last set ran 45000, and were still decent when I traded in my last truck.
