Are you Really Prepared for a Flat?
Correct, but you still might have a problem. Many aftermarket lug nuts require a different sized wrench / socket than your stock lugs. Others (including most locks) require a "key" that also sometimes requires a different size. The guy I stopped to help got burned on all fronts.
Good question! Anyone know the answer to this?????? How close would a 275/55/20 as a spare be if I were running 305/55/20 tires?????
A lot closer than 235/70R16 spare I have for my 285/75R16s!! I really need to do something about that...
Definitely do not run an off size spare tire on your diff. (tru-trac/posi/welded/etc.) it will cause stress on the internals and cause some NASTY things to happen in the long run. If the back goes flat it's better to pull 2 off and run the stubby spare on the nose.
