soft brake problem fixed!

I've always had a problem with my brakes not feeling that great, well not really good at all. I heard a while back about someone sanding the shoes. well I took my drums off and sanded the shoes wth 400 grit paper, just enough to rough them up. the difference is like night and day, it will throw me through the windshield now! A very easy way to improve your brakes! everyone should try it

Sweet deal, glad it worked. We usually do it to our cars after checking the rear brakes, scuff up the glazed drum and if it's bad enough, grind down the lip too. Never sanded the shoes though but never really had soft brakes either.

I'm surprised you haven't swapped for rear discs yet
