Looking at new wheels

So, I know that you guys know a ton about wheels & tires, so I figured I would ask a question thats probably been answered a million times, but has a few side questions to make it unique.

1.) What is the best size tire to go with when you don't have a leveling kit AND you don't want to loose too many MPGs?

2.) Is it the rim or tire that cause the truck to loose MPGs and require a re-gear? Or both?

3.) Does anyone run the Fuzion tires? Saw a picture of them in the tirerack catalog and was sold. The tribal/fire option is awesome!

What size are your wheels? Is your truck a 4x4 or 4x2?

both rims and tires affect your need for gearing. larger rims, 20''+ will also negatively affect your towing capacity.

Truck is a 4x4. It's on the stock rims now so I believe 265?

Basically I want to go a little bigger (maybe the FX4 OEM 18's) but not loose to many MPGs or need to do a re-gear. I'm not looking for huge wheels, just something that fill up the wheel well a little better. (and no, I don't plan on adding a leveling kit)

I'd suggest a 285/65-18 tire.
