So I bought some American Racing Outlaw II's for my 02 f150 supercrew and the place I took it to refuses to put them on cause they are steel wheels and are thicker than the aluminum wheels I have. Are they right? Im assuming I will need new lugnuts but the bolts also? There saying there wont be enough threading left with the wheels on. Or will it be fine? I need to know thanks! Which lug nuts do I need for these wheels

 

Sounds odd that a steel wheel would be thicker than a aluminum wheels. Either way, this is the first I've ever heard of this. I believe you were given some misinformation.

 

Thanks for the response, It was at sams club, like they know anything. Im gonna do some more investigating tomorrow.

 

They are a part of walmart too and walmart service will not sell or install anything but stock sizes for your vehicle. something about laws and regulations, i think they are afraid of getting sued!
