33's on stock rims?
07 xlt, stock wheels. i am guessing they are 7in wide? i have a leveling kit waiting in the wings to install but i want to run 33's. how wide of a tire can i safely run? im thinking pro comp all terrains

I think you can run a 305/70/R17 on stock wheels and a leveling kit with very little rubbing. That would be roughly a 33x12x17.

I'm not positive, wandell would know for sure.

chenchio - hows your gas milage? any rubbing at all?

anyone - any real difference in gas milage between 33's or 35's?

wandell - 12 in wide tire is safe to run on oem 17's?

The oem wheels are 7.5 inches wide. This is a 1/2 inch narrower than recommended by most manufactures but several members have ran them with no problems.

I have 33x12.50x17 Pro Comp All Terrains on my truck. With the factory 17" wheels. No rubbing at all.
