Finish of ProComps, Ultras, Eagles

I've finally decided what size wheel I'm going with and the style I'm looking for. I've come across great deals on the ProComps, Ultras, and Eagle alloys. How does the finish hold up on all of these wheels? I'm not a hardcore offroader, but I'd like the finish of my wheels to hold up over the years of abuse. I am not too concerned about the ProComps, but the prices of the Ultras concern me a little as far as how the finish will hold up over time. I've also read about some finish issues with the Eagles, but I think that was just on the polished aluminum wheels.....I'm looking at the 140 and 185 series.......thoughts?

i personally think it depends more on taking care of them then the wheel itself. dont let chrome stay dirty or it will pit/peel. i polish mine often and usually apply a good coat of wax afterwards. ive always owned eagles and never had a problem.

I definitely wouldn't let the wheels just stay dirty over time....but with them being dirty with brake dust and other stuff, and being scrubbed and cleaned, I want to make sure whatever wheel I go with holds up.

Yeah I've seen some good things on all of these wheels....I guess my concern is that I see how cheap in price (not in quality) these wheels are compared to many others that I've seen on this site, and it just makes me wonder about the overall quality/finish.

I had ultra's on my old truck and they sucked. One year and the finish was shot. It had a machined finish no clear coat. You get what you pay for.

Anyone ever had any problems with Pro Comps? The only reason I'm not jumping on them right now is the back spacing on them.....

I just recently got a great deal on a used set of chrome pro comp 6079 17x9 wheels. Hopefully they will last. Waiting for them to be shipped.

Yeah I ended up pulling the trigger on some Pro Comps. It came down to those or the American Racing Teflon series wheels....

I got the 7105 series, 17x8....I was looking at some 17x9 ProComps but didn't like how far they stuck out..these won't stick out at far:

These will be mounted up with 295/70/17 Nittos.
