Exclamation Load Range

Hey guys I was wondering about Load range. I was reading a thread about how a guy bought a set of tires with the load range of E and he was complaining about how rough and harsh the ride was. I want to clear this issue up for my self. Is the difference between D and E that significant? If it is i will go lower in tire size. Thanks for you help.

Is there some difference between D & E? Yes. Is it significant, not in my opinion. Yes the sidewalls are heavier and air pressure needed to support higher. You could also go for a LR C. Those, unlike P series tires can support anything you are going to do with an F150 with room to spare. Most LR C are rated at 2400 to 2600lb per tire. As the F150s rear axle is rated at 4000lbs, you have 800-1000lb extra with those tires. P-series are right at that limit.
