new pads today

I put new pads on the front and rear today, Wagner Thermo Quiet's. The rear pass. side caliper was the hardest of the 4 to press in, I took the truck for a test spin and that wheel is hot and smells like burnt metal, could this caliper be bad, not releasing?

It's likely that or e brake is applied some. Go with the caliper first as it shouldn't be hard at all to compress.

I always try to contribute to these threads. I had the burning smell and heat from my RR wheel that I thought was caused by the e-brake as described by Tyson from this site. The e-brake lube fix did not work and it turned out to be the caliper sticking.

I agree with Blue that troubleshooting the heat/burnt smell problem should start with trying to compress the caliper with the bleeder valve open before messing with the e-brake.
