Best replacement tires for BFG Long Trails for street truck?

What tires have you swapped out the stock BFG Long Trails for? Mine are shot at aprox 45kmiles on my slightly lowered 2003 Screw. They would always squeal going round corners and break free relatively easily.. generally an OK tire, but I want a step up. No off road use required though.

They are 275/60R17... looking at Michellin Cross Terrain or Continental ContiCrossContact LX.

What have you guys had/used/looked at for stock replacements? Concerned with wet/dry handling and braking, road noise and cost $$$$.

Thanks

You just named probably my top two picks...Michelin X-Terrain and Continental Cross Contact LX. I have a set of the Michelins and they are indeed quite, very smooth over choppy road surfaces and pot-holes, and by all indications look like they are going to last a long time. They are asthetically pleasing as well...at least to my eyes.

Don't forget about Goodyear's Fortera Tripletred either. They are supposed to be a really good road tire for half-ton trucks as well.

I say any of those three and you can't go wrong.
